Single click and double click for the Action Button. The long press stays Apple's.
The short press is never handed to Apple, so the Silent / hold feedback in the Dynamic Island never appears. Only your action runs.
Control — any Control Center control, including app controls, picked in Apple's own sheet. iOS 18+.
Accessibility — toggles a feature from Apple's Action Button list: Zoom, Magnifier, VoiceOver…
Shortcut — runs a shortcut the way Apple's Action Button does: the Shortcuts app stays closed, a short confirmation shows in the Dynamic Island. Picked in Apple's own sheet.
Siri — opens Siri the same way holding the side button does.
Voice Memo — Apple's own Voice Memo action: starts and stops a recording, also on the Lock Screen and with the screen off. The start/stop sound can be turned off.
Camera — side (Back / Front) and mode (Video, Slo-Mo, Time-Lapse, Cinematic, Photo, Portrait), set per click. Optionally starts recording as it opens; the same click stops it. Opens through Apple's own flow, so it is fast and works with the screen off and on the Lock Screen.
Screen Recording — starts and stops the recording. Same as Control Center's: 3-2-1 countdown, Dynamic Island view, saved to Photos. A recording started in Control Center stops with the button, and the other way round. The microphone follows the Control Center setting.
Control Center — runs one module: Dark Mode, Rotation Lock, Silent Mode, Low Power Mode, QR Code Reader, Magnifier, Voice Memos, Quick Note, Stopwatch, Timer, Alarm, Calculator, Wallet.
Flashlight — the same controller Control Center uses, so the two stay in sync. Brightness is set per click: Low, Medium, High, Maximum. While it is on, the volume buttons change its brightness.
Screenshot — the stock flow: flash, corner preview, tap to edit. Screenshot tweaks such as Prism and Snapper 3 are triggered too. Does nothing while the screen is off.
Media — play/pause, next track, previous track.
While Media Plays — optional: while something is playing, single and double click get their own media action.
App — any installed app, from a searchable list. Does not open apps from the Lock Screen.
Stock Action — the long-press action from iOS Settings, on a click.
None — turns a click off. With double click set to None, the single click fires instantly, with no wait.
Each click is configured on its own in Settings › ActionButtonFix, action and options both.
Haptic feedback has separate switches for single and double click, on by default, and survives an action change. Camera, Voice Memo, Shortcut, Screen Recording and Stock Action get their haptic from Apple, so the switch does not reach those.
On a fresh install the tweak is off and both clicks are None. Camera starts at the back camera, photo mode.
Tested on iPhone 15 Pro, iOS 17.0.3, RootHide; 17.1 and 17.3 confirmed by users. Supports up to iOS 27.0.1, tested on a virtual iPhone.
